CANDY TYMSON is managing director of Tymson Communications Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based business education consultancy which has worked for such clients as Telstra, CSR, News Limited, Apple Computer and the CSIRO. She has over twenty-five years of managerial experience in the field of public relations and is now an internationally accredited professional speaker and business educator specialising in Gender Games: Doing Business With The Opposite Sex, the title of her third book. She is a Past President of the Public Relations Institute (PRIA) NSW, the first female president in the Institute’s then 33 years, and later became its youngest Fellow. She is also a former Lady Mayoress of Sydney.

PETER LAZAR is founder and chairman of Professional Public Relations (PPR), one of the largest consultancy firms in the region. He is a board member of the Futures Foundation, a past-president of PRIA (NSW), and PRIA Councillor for more than 20 years and chair of its College of Fellows. He has lectured to communication students around Australia as PRIA’s Eminent Visiting Practitioner and in New Zealand. He is widely regarded as one of the most experienced PR professionals in the region. Today he concentrates on mentoring younger members of the profession, counselling and training PPR clients in issue and crisis management and in serving pro bono on committees of charity and health organisations.

RICHARD LAZAR is CEO of Professional Public Relations (PPR) and a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia. An economics graduate of Sydney University, he began his communication career in marketing and advertising. In his 22 years at PPR he has developed the Sydney-based business into one of the largest consultancy chains in the region, with offices around Australia, in Auckland (New Zealand), Hong Kong and Indonesia. Richard’s creative approach together with his experience in corporate culture change, issue and crisis management and in the introduction of new systems to consultancy administration and career development at PPR have established him as a leader of the profession.
